I feel the obligatory need to create a new set like this for every festival season.

I absolutely love music festivals. Since I convinced my parents to bring me to Lollapalooza in 2010, I've lived and breathed for the moment when festivals release their lineups.

There's something different and awesome about going to a whole festival, and each festival brings an entirely different atmosphere.

I'm going to Governors Ball this year, because I've honestly found this to be the most fun. Aside from Lollapalooza, which has a very similar atmosphere.

I'm not going to lie, as someone who lives in Brooklyn it's pretty awesome to hop on the 6, see Lana and then take a subway back to your OWN BED.

But I digress, here is my guide to the perfect packing list for almost any music festival

• I always think you should wear shorts and a shirt. I don't understand the point of dresses, and pants are honestly too hot. You're walking all day, sitting in the dirt, jumping? Choose something simple to put on but pieces that are cool. 

•  Protect yourself from the sun. I'm going to be a real mom right now but it's hot as fuck and water costs $5. Get a hat maybe, I look terrible in hats...but ALWAYS put on sunscreen and bring sunglasses. If you forget them, I know there's a 7/11 you can get them at, otherwise you're having the worst day of your life. 

• Bring a bag that's easy to get shit out of and sneakers you don't care for. You're walking all day, make life easy for you. 

• Portable phone chargers are incredibly important. This is 2015 aka the future. They're $15 at Costco, and you'll be able to instagram the entire day.  

• Sometimes it's fun to wear something sort of dumb, like a flower crown to Lana's set, or a Brandy Melville "bitch don't kill my vibe" shirt to Kendrick. I'll judge the shit out of you but hey, you paid just as much to be here.
